Untitled 02, Big Sur California, was one of my earliest pieces on my painting journey and reflects a fairly monumental and courageous shift towards colourism. I had it framed in native kahikatea from my home studio in Whāingoroa Raglan and serves as a toanga representing the bridge between prayer and blessing. It is my expression of partnership with Atua, whom is deeply invested in relationship with all of humanity.
